"Be an active participant in the change of your life"
-Dizzie Harris
Day 18
That’s the word for the day family. We mustn’t take the discomforts that life presents to us as personal. The enemy/inner me only has as much access as we allow it to have. We have to be able to humble ourselves to the will of God. We have to place our ego at the feet of our Heavenly Father so that we are exalted in our earthy purpose.
Life doesn’t have to be as complicated as we make it. Most of the discomfort we experience is from a lack of obedience. We have, as a people, become more subservient to our flesh than to our spirit. You may be experiencing the back lash of generational disobedience. If that’s you, I want you to know that it CAN and SHOULD stop with you. You deserve a healthy marriage, a prosperous career, and a peaceful sleep at night. You do not have to live in discomfort. God needs access to your places of pain to make that pain purposeful. I refer to scripture as confirmation that the struggles we face in this world are more spiritual than we allude them to be. If this message is for you, then know that you are only getting it because I am actively participating in the change I want to see in my own life. I have been asking God to have His way; above my own plans and ideas.
It is with this mindset that I am an active participant in the change I want to take place in my life. I want a life full of purpose so I am actively submitting my own fleshly and selfish desires to God because I realize that those things will not sustain me or my legacy. When you are an active participant in change, you don’t even have to have a roadmap to the finish line. God will shift your desires to align with His perfect plan for you.
I’ll tell you this, I never planned on being a blogger, or an actress, or living in LA, yet, here I am. Ready to respond to the call. It’s time family! It is time that we respond. I leave you with this prayer...
A Prayer: I suggest praying this daily
Scripture Reference: James 4; 1-17
God, perhaps I haven’t been in alignment with you lately. I’m here now. Please take me as I am and make me new. I give you access to my life. I give you access to every area of hurt and fear. I ask that you make me courageous enough to be an active participant in the change I want to see in my life. I don’t even know what that change is but I know who you are. I’m calling you to action! Show up in an abundant way in my life. Show up in such a way that will require me to tell the world just how incredible you are. Show me who you truly are; beyond what I learned as a child, beyond religion, beyond ego, church hurt, and fear. I want to experience the fullness of your presence in my life. I humbly lay my burdens and ego at your feet. Transform me. Help me to help myself. You are my greatest friend, protector, and provider. I love you. I will show you the love I have for you by loving myself and the tribe you have entrusted me with. I look forward to this journey with you. Daily, put it on my conscience to check in with you.
Thank you for being all that I need!
Amen. Asé
Love,
Yourself
